A Voyage Long and Strange: Rediscovering the New World
I think I learned about all the explorers in the 5th grade but had forgotten most of it. I also realized that what I had been taught was essntially incorrect. This book helped remedy that situation. I loved learning about the early history of America and what really happened. I enjoyed Horwitz's journey around the modern day locales just as much. I read this book with my computer nearby so I could look up the different places and see them for myself!
